It’s lovely Mel. I think it’s made even prettier by the fact I can cast it on with no guilt at all. I’m back on top of my deadline knitting.

I have to say, I am not a fan of ribbing, but I really like the way this is knitting up. I just finished the 2 lurks rows before the top of the beret.
Question… The last row before Row 1 of the Top of the beret is a purl row holding both MC and CC together. Nothing in Row 1 (nor any subsequent Row) tells you if you’re continuing to hold both colors, or cutting the CC yarn. Looking at the picture, it appears we drop the gray CC and only work the blue. Please clarify.

That was a fun, FAST knit! I’ve finished my beret and I think I have enough yarn left to make a second one. Pictures have been posted to Instagram and Ravelry.

    • I saw your pictures! You looked great! I added a comment about the measurements too on Rav. If you knit a second one we could maybe discuss how to tweak it a bit and make it as a regular hat vs. a beret. There are some easy adjustments that would allow for you to have a different style hat— more bang for your buck!
